Designing with Character in NYC (RF)

Combining my love for DIYing and interior design, this 1 BR apartment in Chelsea, Manhattan is the culmination of several years of practice and skill refinement.

While the space naturally boasts several opportunities for decor, with its beautiful marble mantle, adjustable shelves, brick walls, and abundant natural light; the opportunity to get creative was needed. Functionally, I had to solve: storage space needs, and a dingy kitchen.

Storage Space Solve: I brought in two Ikea storage cabinets to flank the mantle symmetrically, and added a large Ikea Closet in the bedroom to solve for the storage need.
Dinginess Solve: I DIY-painted a full wall and the kitchen a lime wash effect in a peach tone. This revitalized and reinvigorated the space immensely.
